This will spell the 10th year of BW and the 8th utilising the Jim Beam Soundshell. The iconic Gisborne venue is a sculpted grass amphitheatre that features prime viewing from every seat in the house. BW has hosted a series of
top NZ and international artists over the years and the 2013 bill will be even bigger and better than ever.
BW has given the venue a significant face lift over the past 3 years. Beautiful palms now replace the old shrubbery behind the stage, an all weather roof has been added and a large section of hedge has been removed, opening the site into the lagoon area of the Adventure Playground. The lagoon plays host to a series of water fountains and features a spectacular light and laser show.

Located on the beachfront side of WATSON, alongside the BW Foodcourt is the BW Beachbox Stage.
This stage will be showcasing live acts and DJs throughout the day, and will still be pumping along as you come home at night.
Back in 2011 the Beachbox showcased top NZ talent including sets from I Am Giant, P-Money and PNC as well as a host of national DJ’s, and in 2012 we raised the bar bringing the likes of Trei, Sunshine Soundsystem, Bulletproof and many other top acts and DJs to the Beachbox. The BW Bikini Jam was also hosted at the Beachbox for the first time in 2012, as well as the 1st annual BW Pizza Eating Contest.
