Sure, campers from either campsite can visit any BW campsite at any stage of the day.  Campers must check-in and set up their tents in their camp however as we have safety capacities.

Can we bring a BBQ?

BBQ’s / gas cookers / open flames are NOT permitted at BW Campgrounds (this includes generators and gas fridges - no gas/fuel or any appliances which run off these are allowed in). This is due to our consents with local council regarding fire safety issues. You can imagine the fire hazard of having so many closely confined tents with BBQ’s around. We take the safety of our guests extremely seriously and will be policing this accordingly. We will however have a range of NZ’s best festival/event caterers you can purchase food from!!!

What are the facilities/toilets/showers like?

The facilities vary from camp to camp. Go to the OUR CAMPSITES page to learn more about each camp.

Can we bring our car into the campground?

NO! Cars are to be parked outside and car park areas have been made available and are free. These areas are monitored by security round the clock.

How about camper vans?

Absolutely you can bring your campervan!! We do have limited space, so get in quick!  The campervan area is separate to the main tent area, but is still in the mix at Churchill park.  Churchill is just a short walk to the Skinny strip and main camping area, and when staying in Churchill you get free access to the Gisborne Olympic Pool complex - bonus!  To bring your camper each camper must have their own camping ticket to BW, however only one camper needs to purchase the campervan upgrade (one upgrade per van).  Upgrade through your minttix account.  Once logged in, go to 'my tickets' and click on edit/upgrade.  You can then purchase the campervan upgrade.
