For those not in the know, BW operates 5 camps all within walking distance of each other and hosts up to 16,000 people over the festival week. The campgrounds are situated on Gisborne’s beautiful main beach, offering an action packed classic kiwi summer – roadie, surf, sunshine, beautiful beaches, camping, good company, pumping music and the epic parties!!
BW Campgrounds is the perfect spot for your ultimate New Years experience in 2012.
Please note that all passes include free buses to Rhythm and Vines.
Combo’s and Packages:
BW / R&V Combo with Early bird + Express pass
This will guarantee the ultimate new years experience in 2012 at BW Campgrounds and Rhythm and Vines. With both the Earlybird and Express passes, you can be assured of beating all the queues on-site and setting up your tent early, while also having access to the premiere party night on the 27th, which is most definitely not to be missed.
Buying these products all at once is a huge saving, so make sure you choose this option now as it’s strictly limited!
BW / R&V Combo with Early bird
This option lets you enjoy both the epic nights at Rhythm and Vines, as well as the chilled out days relaxing by the beach. This package includes the legendary opening night party on the 27th December, and you would be a fool to miss out! Arriving a day early also lets you sort out the best posse in the campgrounds, or even nice and close to that someone you’ve had your eye on!
BW / R&V Combo
Buying both a BW Campgrounds and Rhythm and Vines combo ticket makes perfect sense, it’s easier, cheaper, and also means that you can be accredited for both at once with one wristband!
This pass includes camping with BW for 4 nights, so if you want to stay a bit longer make sure you buy the combo pass with the earlybird pass (to save money) or add on the 1st and 2nd January to your order.
BW Only
For those just wanting to stay at BW Campgrounds but already have a Rhythm and Vines pass or want to buy it later, this is for you.
If you wish to upgrade later, you can do so by adding on a Rhythm and Vines ticket.
However be aware that the combo passes present a great opportunity to make savings.

Early bird Pass
The opening night party on the 27th December is legendary, and you would be a fool to miss out! Arriving a day early also lets you sort out the best posse in the campgrounds, or even nice and close to that someone you’ve had your eye on!
Express Pass
Hate queues? Want to go where you want when you want? Then this is the pass for you!
Buying this pass lets you skip the queues on-site, and get amongst it before everyone else! With this pass you can:
- Check-in in a priority queue
- Express bag check and entry queues into the camp.
- Beat the masses to Rhythm and Vines by having your own priority bus queue until 8:30pm
- Skip the portaloo lines and use your own flushing loos next to the powder room in Watson Park
- Jump straight into the Soundshell, grab a drink at your own private bar and get the best seat in the house in the VIP!
Tickets are strictly limited to make sure you can beat the queues!
Soundshell VIP Pass
This $50 pass lets you party side of stage and get as close as possible to the live acts, in your own VIP zone with fancy loos, more bar area, and lots of chill-out (and make-out) space to enjoy the action in….
Stayon 1st Jan and or the 2nd Jan
Need an extra nights sleep? Or want more sun, surf and fun we suggest you get one of these passes.
To make sure you get all the zzz’s you can before the big journey home! We would love to have you stayon for another night or two. Churchill Park is the only campgrounds that is open on the night of the 1st and 2nd buy one of these and you can have another full day of surf, sun and sand, make sure you attend the river side fire works display as it is a real feature of the New Years experience in Gisborne.
